Image Converter Software

I've spent hours downloading and rejecting free image converter software. I need a program that will allow me to convert my JPGs to PDF files so that I can put my free charts into PDFs to offer here for my blog readers.

Nothing has worked with my computer. I'm running XP and using Firefox browser.

I have downloaded the free trial of Image Converter Plus. This seems to be exactly what I need, except that it costs $49.99. Does anyone out there use a good free or shareware program?

I have another freebie chart nearly completed. I know the JPGs that I've put up are not the best quality. I'd like to be able to offer my designs as PDFs.

I use PrimoPDF to make them. It is free. It installs like a printer, you click "print" and choose "primo" and it creates the PDF.

I then "host" my PDFs on Photomaniak (free.) It is in French but pretty simple to figure out (and I don't speak a lick of French!)

This is the one I use also and as the previous poster says, it is free. You can look at the downloads on my blog and see how nicely it works. If you wish, email me and I can walk you thru the process I use. I host my PDFs on Google Docs and it works nicely. http://www.primopdf.com/index.aspx

You can look at www.OpenOffice.org It is free. It has a version that can read or write any of the MS Office programs. Each one of the programs can write a PDF file. So you could insert a picture in the Writer program, then Export it as a PDF file.

Good luck,

What you need in fact is a Free PDF printer for your Windows XP.

That way, from any of your softwares you can directly "print" the document as a PDF file - meaning in your software you select "File --> Print" and in the printer windows you select "PDF" instead of your actual printer.

There are several free PDF printer drivers/softwares, like:
Free PDF Printer: http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php
PDF creator: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/
etc.

I hope this helps.

P.S. : I don't recommend to export your charts as images and then transform them as PDf as you lose in the quality of the details in the chart.
If you save directly your chart as a PDF you have a perfect chart with all of the details.
